Under is the new procedure announced by the Preliminary VOA Board ( PVB ) on 01 October 2005. This board will include three government ministries & one government department --- Ministry of Hotel & Tourism, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Department of Immigration.

The seven steps on how to submit the VOA application :

1. The clients must apply visa on arrival ( VOA ) through a tour company licensed by the Ministry of Hotel & Tourism
2. To process your VOA you will have to send to us 15 point p/p & personal details of you first & foremost by email to < ayethettlynn@gmail.com > & cc to < voa-tours@myanmar.com.mm >
3. Then you must also send the scanned p/p size photo of you to us by email jpeg format
4. We will put up the application to the Ministry of Hotel & Tourism and after getting your VOA we will send it to you and also one copy to the Yangon office of the airline that you will fly into Myanmar
5. As all the airlines that will fly into Yangon had been notified & you will have to show your VOA on airline check in
6. On arrival Yangon you will be met by one of our staff ( who will be holding a placard your name written on it ) before you cross Immigration & Customs counter. Your arrival formalities will be attended by our staff & you will be swift clear out in no time. Very important you will have to settle the entry visa fee US $ 20 / person to the Yangon airport Immigration counter

This is the synopsis of the Visa On Arrival Board's announcement concerning with 10 steps on how the tour companies can get the VOA for their guest

1. Draft an application letter with company letter head outlining why VOA is needed and this should be addressed to the Ministry of Hotel & Tourism on Theinphyu Road
2. A single page application must contain ( a ) tour company licence number ( b ) tour package bought ( c ) itineraries of the tour ( d ) discription of the tour - hotels - transports plus guide's name
3. To fill & attach one pre-defined " Visa On Arrival Form " for each visitor
4. Managing Director of the company should sign the form with company seal
5. Scanned p/p size photo of the visitor must be attached to the above form
6. Nationality, citizenship, religion & profession of the visitor must be clearly mentioned without any mistake
7. This form should be submitted to the Officer In-charge of the Minister's Office of the Ministry of Hotel & Tourism
8. The visa on arrival approval letter ( VOAAL ) received from the Ministry of Hotel & Tourism  should be submitted to the VOA Board ( PVB ), Immigration Department & this will take usually five working days to get a full fledged VOA
9. After the PVB meeting either on Tuesdays or Fridays the tour companies can collect full fledged VOAs from the Department of Immigration 
10. The visa on arrival ( VOA ) should be sent to the guest & that VOA must be brought on arrival Yangon airport & the guest will have to settle visa entry fee of US $ 20 / person to the Yangon Airport Immigration

2. you don't need to send your p/p or VOA processing fee to us before hand & you can fly in to Yangon with the VOA processed by us & settle the VOA processing fee later after your arrival
3. we will process your Myanmar VOA which will be official & approved by the Myanmar Visa Issuing Authorities and this will take ( 21 ) days time to process
4. after getting your VOA we will scanned email it to you & another to the Yangon office of the airline that you will fly into Yangon & this VOA will inturn be relayed to their counter parts in Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Calcutta, New Dehli or Doha / Qatar 
5. kindly bring in three p/p size photos of each applicant ( this time real photos not scanned ) & please don't forget that there is no photo shop or photo copy centre in the Yangon International Airport
6. please don't forget to bring in new US $ 20 / person Entry Visa Fee to be settled to the airport Immigration
7. you will be met by one of our staff ( who will be holding a placard --- your name written on it ) deep inside the arrival lounge before you pass Immigration & Customs and you will be cleared out swiftly, your Immigration & Customs formalities attended. Kindly settle the VOA processing fee to our staff. THAT'S ALL OVER & OUT
8. if your flights are not confirmed yet you can give us tentative dates / flight numbers / airline & we can amend these when you can confirm your flight details
